Avoca Students Compete for VEX Robotics Honors
Image of Avoca Vex Robotics TeamOur VEX Robotics competition was a huge success! Many thanks to Ms. Cathy Bryant for working with our teams and to our Avoca parents and sponsors for providing registration fees. We appreciate Ms. Deidre Pendley, our district CTE Coordinator, and our community partners--Lowe’s, Strongwell, and the Bristol Chamber of Commerce for making this event possible. What fun to see cross-collaboration across the district and throughout the community. Today’s Learners = Tomorrow’s Workforce.

TEAM Dominic, Eli, Spencer, and Ian received the Teamwork Champion Award and TEAM Brooke, Faith, and Zoey received the Robot Skills Award in the Bristol Bot Battle Vex IQ Challenge qualifying them for the state 2019 CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship at Brentwood Academy! So exciting! More of our #AvocaDragons teams may qualify as additional competitions are scored.
